After announcing the agreement on 1 April 2021, VINCI’s acquisition of ACS’s energy business was completed this morning.

Société du Grand Paris has awarded the contract to upgrade the future Noisy-Champs station and ancillary facilities to VINCI Construction via its subsidiaries Chantiers Modernes Construction (lead) and CBI.

On Friday 17 December 2021, the Western Strasbourg bypass (A355) in eastern France was commissioned. Recognised as a public interest on 23 January 2008, this 24 km long road represents the most extensive motorway project undertaken in France in recent years.

Pursuant to the authorisation given by shareholders in the combined shareholders’ general meeting of 8 April 2021, the Board of Directors has decided to reduce VINCI’s share capital by cancelling 6,000,000 shares held in treasury.

Good traffic trends for VINCI Autoroutes continued. In November 2021, all vehicle categories combined, traffic was up 6.7% compared to November 2019. VINCI Airports passenger traffic trends continued to improve in November in almost all the countries in the network.

The retailer Lidl France has awarded a contract to a consortium* made up of VINCI Construction and VINCI Energies subsidiaries to build a logistics hub and offices for its regional headquarters in Saint-Augustin, located in the Pas-de-Calais region of northern France.

Société du Grand Paris has awarded Chantiers Modernes Construction (VINCI Construction) the contract to build the operation and rolling stock maintenance centre for the future Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express. The centre will be in Palaiseau, and the line will connect the rapidly expanding Paris-Saclay research and development hub to Orly Airport and the city of Versailles.

VINCI Construction UK has been awarded the construction contract for Student Accommodation Project 3 (SAP3), one of the UK’s largest Passivhaus certified developments in the UK, for the University of the West of England in Bristol.

Air Liquide, TotalEnergies and VINCI, are combining forces with other large international companies to sponsor the creation of the world’s largest fund exclusively dedicated to clean hydrogen infrastructure solutions. VINCI Construction, via its subsidiary Bessac (Soletanche Bachy), specialised in tunnel and microtunnel construction, in a consortium with Canadian company EBC, has won the contract to build the Fairbank-Silverthorn Storm Trunk Sewer System for the city of Toronto.

Seymour Whyte, a VINCI Construction subsidiary based in Australia, has been selected for a design and build rail and pavement upgrade contract of the Port of Melbourne, Australia’s largest container and general cargo port, handling more than one-third of the nation’s container trade.

On 17 September 2021, VINCI Concessions successfully completed – within a record time of two months - the financing of the PPP contract for the new B247 federal road linking the cities of Mühlhausen and Bad Langensalza, in the Free State of Thuringia. The contract had been awarded in July 2021 by the DEGES, the public body in charge of developing transport infrastructure in Germany.

Traffic on VINCI Autoroutes inter-urban networks, both for light vehicles and heavy vehicles, confirmed the upward momentum. In August 2021, all vehicle categories, it rose 2.1% compared to August 2019. In August 2021, passenger traffic in the VINCI Airports network was down 56.6% compared to August 2019, confirming the recovery observed in July.

Petit, a VINCI Construction France subsidiary, handed over today the La Samaritaine renovated buildings, a well-known Parisian landmark established in 1870 by Ernest Cognacq, to the LVMH group. VINCI Facilities UK Ltd (a VINCI Construction subsidiary based in the United Kingdom) has been awarded the contract covering hard facilities management, grounds maintenance and capital works for the Ministry of Defence’s built estate across the south-east of the United Kingdom.

Seymour Whyte, a VINCI Construction subsidiary based in Australia, has won a road upgrade contract for one of the main routes through south-east Melbourne’s fast-growing Dandenong South area, worth €86 million (A$134 million). The project aims at reducing traffic pressure by connecting South Gippsland Highway to Abbotts Road to improve access in and around the Dandenong South employment hub and therefore enhance productivity of the industrial precinct.

On 29 April 2021, the consortium consisting of VINCI Highways, lead company, and Meridiam (50/50) completed the financing of the PPP contract for the D4 motorway linking Pøíbram (Central Bohemia) and Písek (South Bohemia). This contract won in December 2020, was signed with the Czech Transport Ministry on 15 February 2021.
