VINCI wins contract for construction of a 63 kilometre gas pipeline in France
28 November 2013 - New contracts - France
Spiecapag, a subsidiary of Entrepose Contracting (VINCI Construction), has been awarded a contract by GRT Gaz for design, construction and technical support for the commissioning of a 63 km gas pipeline between Villeneuve la Lionne in northern France and Dierrey St Julien in eastern France, as well as several disconnector stations. The pipeline will cross the Seine River in a micro-tunnel near Pont sur Seine in north-central France.
The €60 million project is part of the development of gas transmission infrastructure in northern France, linked up with the construction of the new liquefied natural gas terminal in Dunkirk.
The contract was won in an alliance with a Dutch company, with Spiecapag as lead company. Work is expected to start in first quarter 2014 and will last around eight months.
