VINCI Energies wins the lighting contract in the city of Thiers under a Public Private Partnership

The city of Thiers in central France has just awarded its public lighting management contract to VINCI Energies under a 15-year public private partnership.
The contract covers:
- power supply and management,
- upkeep, maintenance and upgrade of installations (3,700 lighting points),
- design and implementation of the lighting plan,
- festive illuminations.
The annual value of the contract is €450,000.
VINCI Energies works in public lighting under the Citéos brand, which currently manages 400,000 lighting points in some one hundred cities, notably under management contracts. The Thiers contract is the first contract awarded to VINCI Energies under a public private partnership.
VINCI Energies generated revenue of €3.5 billion in 2005, of which nearly 30% outside France. VINCI Energies operates in 18 European countries through a network of 700 business units with a workforce of 27,000 employees.
