Work on Stade des Lumières now under way

On 30 July 2013, VINCI Construction France, represented by the SNC (general partnership) Stade de Lyon Construction, received the go-ahead for the construction of the Stade des Lumieres stadium, worth €293 million. Located at Decines (central France), 10 km to the east of the centre of Lyons, this 58,000-seater complex will host not just the football matches of Olympique Lyonnais and major international competitions but also concerts and many other events. The works have started and will take 30 months to complete.
Handover is scheduled for late January 2016, in time for the UEFA EURO.
