Widening works continue on the A63

ASF (VINCI Autoroutes) has just awarded the consortium comprising Eurovia GPI (leader), VINCI Construction Terrassement, Dodin Campenon Bernard (VINCI Construction) and GTM Sud-Ouest TP GC (VINCI Construction France) the works to widen the A63 motorway to 2x3 lanes on a 22 km section between the Biarritz La Négresse toll barrier and the Biriatou barrier at the Spanish border.
Worth €186.4m, these works will take 46 months. They follow the widening to 2x3 lanes of a first 18 km-long section, between Ondres and Biarritz (photo), which was brought into service on 6 July 2012 after just three years of works, undertaken by the same consortium.
