West Africa - Electricity interconnection project

VINCI Energies Transport et Transformation d’Energie and VINCI Energies Maroc (VINCI Energies International & Systems) have won the contracts for four works packages concerning 225-kV overhead power lines extending 1,000 km across Senegal, Guinea-Conakry, Guinea-Bissau and the Gambia.
These contracts form part of the electricity interconnection project of the Organisation for the Development of the Gambia River (OMVG), aimed at enabling the transmission and transformation of 800 MW of electrical energy resulting from the regional production of hydroelectric power, notably by the Kaléta and Sambangalou dams.
Total value of the contracts: €140m.
