Wastewater treatment on Mayotte
28 January 2016 - New contracts - France
Sogea Mayotte and SMTPC (VINCI Construction Dom-Tom subsidiaries), in a joint venture with VINCI Environnement (VINCI Construction France), are to build the Bandrélé wastewater treatment plant, on Mayotte: the foundation stone was laid in November 2015. With a treatment capacity of 2,500 population equivalent, this facility will treat the wastewater from Bandrélé and Nyambadao, two villages in the south-east of the island. Designed to be ecological, the plant will not use any chemical products to clear pollution; excess sludge will be pumped from the lagoon to reed-planted drying beds. The works will take twenty months.
