Wastewater plant on Reunion Island

Sogea Réunion, a VINCI Construction subsidiary, in a consortium with VINCI Environnement (VINCI Construction France) and Corem, has begun building the future wastewater treatment plant for the commune of Saint-Joseph. Undertaken on behalf of the CASUD (southern agglomeration community), the works involve creating a new wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 18,500 population equivalent (extendable to 37,000). In addition to the wastewater treatment, the new plant will feature a sludge treatment process, odour removal, and be equipped with a sea outfall.
Valued at €11.4m, the works will last 15 months, followed by a 4-month start-up and monitoring period. Official acceptance is scheduled for April 2015.
