VINCI, partner to the Cité de la Réussite
10 November 2014 - Events - France
For two days in November – Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 – “audacity” was on the programme at the Cité de la Réussite, the major forum for debate of which VINCI is an official partner. In the amphitheatres of the Sorbonne, 150 key figures from the worlds of business, politics, social issues, science and culture accepted to share their opinions on audacity and what it means to be daring in 42 debates that drew around 10,000 people.
Started in 1989, the Cité de la Réussite is an important opportunity for thinking and debate that is held every two years. This year the forum invited “business leaders, public policy makers, artists, thinkers, journalists and members of the public to two days of discussion and debate to dare together to set out the ways forward to a brighter future”.
Two key figures from VINCI took part in the debates
On Saturday 8 November, Pierre Coppey, VINCI’s chief operating officer, debated the topic “Daring in leadership: can we still change the world?” with:
- Tristan Lecomte, founder of Alter Eco and Pur Projet;
- Sandrine Mazetier, vice-president of France’s National Assembly;
- Navi Radjou, innovation consultant for Silicon Valley and a Fellow at the Cambridge Judge Business School.
On Sunday 9 November, Benoît Lecinq, the chairman of Entrepose Contracting, debated the topic “From failure to success: where is the boundary?” with:
- Michaël Boumendil, musical designer, founder of Sixième Son;
- Patrick Bourdet, chairman and CEO of AREVA Med, author;
- Manuel Carcassonne, CEO of Editions Stock;
