VINCI continues its work with Emmaüs Défi
26 June 2015 - Sustainability - France
Launched in 2008 by Emmaüs Défi, the Convergence project supports and brings back into employment people previously living in the streets. VINCI is participating in this effort, employing people supported by the association in its companies.
The film Convergence, created by the Fondation VINCI pour la Cité in June 2015, focuses on this experiment and introduces Lucien, who has progressed from the streets into a job. The scheme favours a gradual readjustment process involving “first hours” contracts, comprehensive and long-term socio-professional support, and a guided immersion experience in a VINCI Group company. To date, four permanent contracts have been signed at VINCI Energies and Eurovia, and a vocational training contract has been set up at VINCI Construction.
