VINCI Airports to continue managing Chambéry Savoie Airport

On 10 June 2013, the General Council of the Savoie department (south-east France) appointed VINCI Airports to manage and operate Chambéry Savoie Airport, within the framework of a new public service delegation contract, for a period of 16 years as of 1st July 2013. VINCI Airports has been managing the airport since 2004, operating and maintaining the infrastructure, providing ground handling services and the prescribed safety and security arrangements, managing the airport site and buildings, and developing air services and associated activities. Since 2004, VINCI Airports has introduced 9 new regular routes, and traffic has increased from 140,000 to almost 230,000 passengers a year. VINCI Airports is now set to finance an investment programme worth some €10m, with the aim of optimising passenger comfort, reception capacities and the airport’s flight-handling capacity.
