Using a former dump for a photovoltaic power plant on Reunion Island

Omexom ENR Sud-Ouest (VINCI Energies), in a joint venture with SBIPB and Profil du Futur (ArcelorMittal), is to build a 4.6 MWc photovoltaic power plant in Rivière des Galets for EDF Renouvelables.

Located on a former municipal dump, the plant’s more than 8,200 panels will produce the equivalent of the total annual consumption of a commune with 4,500 inhabitants. The 4.2-hectare site has been entirely cleared and levelled by SBTPC Sogea Réunion (VINCI Construction). Duration of the works: seven months as of October 2022.
