Two water treatment contracts

SMP CZ, a VINCI Construction subsidiary, as leader of a consortium also including Hochtief, Degrémont and WTE Wassertechnik, has secured the contract for the renovation of the central wastewater treatment plant in Prague. Work on this project, with an overall value of €223m, will start in the first half of 2014, aiming for an entry into service in late 2017. SMP CZ has, in addition, been awarded the renovation and modernisation of the drinking water treatment plant in the town of Plzeň.
Valued at more than €30m, the works will be carried out without disrupting production and will be completed in June 2015.
