25 February 2013 - New contracts - United States of America
Menard, a Soletanche Freyssinet subsidiary (VINCI Construction), has just secured two ground consolidation contracts in northern New Jersey, in preparation for the creation of logistics platforms on what was formerly industrial wasteland. The first project, in Newark, concerns the future factory and platform of Goya Foods, the manufacturer and distributor of Mexican food products. Menard has been working at the site since late December 2012, creating 11,000 controlled modulus columns (CMCs ) of up to 15 m in depth. The second contract also involves the creation of 11,000 CMCs, prior to the development of the Pulaski-AMB platform in Jersey City. The works will continue through till spring 2013.
Combined value of the two contracts: $24m.
