Tram tracks and electrical equipment
26 November 2012 - New contracts - France
As part of the construction of the first tram line (length: 6.4 km) in the Aubagne conglomeration (south of France), ETF-Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires’s Major Projects office has been appointed to supply and install the tracks and carry out the surfacing works. In narrow stretches in the town centre, the company will install special track, known as gauntlet track, which can be used in alternation by trams running in opposite directions, without points.
Contract value: €18.8m.
Eurovia’s Marseilles office, meanwhile, together with TP Spada (Eurovia), will supply the foundations for the platform and lay out the area alongside the tracks; value: €13.5m.
On this same project, Roiret Transport, leader, and Santerne Sûreté Mobilité (both VINCI Energies France business units) will supply the automatic vehicle location system, the data and image transmission network and the central technical management system, as well as the low-voltage equipment and passenger information displays. Entry into service of this tram line, which will be free of charge to users, is scheduled for 2014.
