Tracks at Metz station

ETF (Eurovia) is working on reorganising the tracks at the train station in Metz (east of France). The aim of these works is to enable trains to approach at a higher speed before stopping in the station, to put the main tracks onto a ”non-exclusive use” basis, and make it easier to operate the station. They involve installing 18 sets of switch gear, replacing 3 km of track and reorganising the service lines.
Worth a total of €3.2m, the works will be completed in May 2013.
