Third lane on the A9

Following the completion of four years of works carried out and financed by VINCI Autoroutes, on 23 December 2013 the teams from the operations department for Perpignan and the Rivesaltes district of ASF (VINCI Autoroutes) definitively opened the 17 km section of the A9, now widened to 2x3 lanes, between Perpignan Nord and Perpignan Sud. Work on widening to 2x3 lanes is now proceeding on the section of the A9 between Perpignan Sud and Le Boulou, the aim being to open this stretch in late 2016. A decision by the French government is awaited regarding extending the operation as far as the Spanish border.
