The second life of the Martroi paving stones
1 February 2014 - New contracts - France
Teams from Eurovia’s Orléans office finished laying the 17,000 sq. metres of natural stone paving stones in Place du Martroi, in Orléans (central France), in November 2013. 180,000 paving stones were being re-used for these works. The rest, some 3,500, were sorted, some to be crushed and turned into aggregate, others to be used for other urban development projects. The works, valued at €5.7m, took nine months.
Citeos Orléans (VINCI Energies France), for its part, supplied the lighting for the square and the illumination of a fountain and façades, as well as installing power supply bollards. Value of these works: €700,000.
