The RD120 open to traffic

On 18 December 2015, Eurovia, VINCI Construction Terrassement and Cantal’s Departmental Council inaugurated and opened to traffic the redeveloped section of the RD120 secondary road. The new route, closer to the A20 and A89 motorways, provides better transport connections and enhanced safety for motorists. Thus ends the construction phase of one of the first public-private partnerships entered into by a French department in the road infrastructure area. This particular PPP contract was signed in 2013 for a period of 20 years, covering the financing during the works phase, the design, construction and maintenance of this 10 km-long redeveloped section of the RD120 to the north-west of Aurillac.
