Taxiway upgrade for A380s

A consortium composed of Eurovia’s Mitry-Mory office (leader), Signature Grands Travaux Béton (Eurovia) and Santerne Roissy (VINCI Energies France) has been upgrading part of the Alpha Nord taxiway (length: 250 m) encircling Terminal 1 at Roissy – Charles-de- Gaulle airport. The completion of the works will enhance capacity at the terminal by enabling Airbus A380s to use this taxiway. Over the summer of 2015, Eurovia was responsible for demolishing the old taxiway, the earthworks, and installing the subgrade and the networks, while Santerne Roissy installed the lighting. Between July and October, Signature Grands Travaux Béton applied the surface layer of the taxiway (15,500 sq. metres of 40 cm-thick aeronautical concrete), while Signature Île-de-France (Eurovia), on a sub-contracting basis, supplied the horizontal markings.
