Soil improvement for a treatment plant
15 December 2015 - Projects update and handover - Canada
In connection with the enlargement of the Annacis Island wastewater treatment plant in Delta (west of Canada), Geopac (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) is currently working on its biggest-ever soil improvement project. The works involve installing ballasted columns up to 34 m in depth, in order to combat the liquefaction of 1.7m cu. metres of soil. The company has brought in Soldata (Soletanche Freyssinet/ VINCI Construction) to monitor, in real time, the principal nearby installations and structures during the works. This project is due for completion in June 2016, after 20 months of works.
