Between June and December 2014, again for the MOP, Bitumix (Eurovia) carried out improvement works on the A653, at Pozo Almonte, in the Tarapacá Desert (north of the country). These notably involved standardising the road surfacings, stabilising the existing carriageway to a depth of 20 cm and applying a double surface dressing.
