Revitalisation of railway tracks

PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, the company managing the Polish infrastructure and responsible for the maintenance of the railway tracks, has selected ETF (Eurovia) to renew the tracks on the Jelcz Miłoszyce – Wrocław Sołtysowice stretch of Line 292, the aim being to restore passenger transport in the industrial zone of Wrocław, Poland’s fourth-largest city.

The contract calls for the total replacement of the surface of the tracks, drainage to regulatory standards, the replacement of connections, the reconstruction of level crossings, the installation of engineering structures (culverts, bridges, steel bridge, steel viaduct), the construction of platforms, traffic control and adjustment of the catenary (about 16.5 km, power, telecommunications, sanitation works).

Completion of the works is scheduled for September 2019.
