Rehabilitation of the Ateliers des Capucins

In Brest (Brittany), Sogea Bretagne BTP (VINCI Construction France) has just been appointed by the Brest Métropole semi-public company to develop and rehabilitate the Ateliers des Capucins. This building (surface area: 25,000 sq. metres) once housed an industrial workshop, part of the naval shipyard; it will now be turned into a cultural hub featuring a multiplex cinema and a multi-media resource centre as well as the National Street Arts Centre and shops.
Worth €15m, the contract covers asbestos and lead removal, the structural works, the steel structure, the roof and the photovoltaic equipment.
