Rehabilitation of Hangar J1 in Marseille

In January 2019, the joint venture formed by VINCI Construction France, its subsidiary Adim Provence (leader) and the Caisse des Dépôts was appointed by the port authority in Marseille to undertake a huge project to rehabilitate Hangar J1 and its surrounding area.

Located close to the Old Harbour, this 25,000 sq. metre building, erected over a century ago, is to be totally renovated and transformed into a multi-purpose destination venue. It will notably accommodate a luxury hotel, coworking spaces, an events area and restaurants. The works, to be implemented by GTM Sud and Les Travaux du Midi (also VINCI Construction France subsidiaries), will start in 2021 and be completed in 2023.
