Rehabilitation of an offshore wharf
21 January 2013 - New contracts - Togo
At Kpémé, to the east of Lomé, the joint venture composed of Sogea-Satom (VINCI Construction), leader, and EMCC (VINCI Construction France) is to rehabilitate a wharf without a central platform providing mooring on both sides. Undertaken on behalf of the New Phosphate Company of Togo (SNPT), which operates the country's phosphate mines, the project involves creating 4 new dolphins (mooring piles), 1.2 km from the coast, replacing a phosphates loading arm and refurbishing, on an occupied site, the railway bridge over Lake Togo, which enables trains to run from the quarry to the plant.
Worth €16.4m, the works will take 18 months.
