Refurbishment of an airport runway in Montreal
14 September 2012 - New contracts - Canada
Between 7 May and 17 July 2012, Construction DJL (Eurovia) refurbished the main runway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport in Quebec. Renewing the surface layers of the runway required the deployment of 30,000 t of pavement as well as 72,000 sq. metres of demolition levelling and 72,000 sq. metres of fine grading. Construction DJL used 3D machine control systems on this project – for the first time in Canada – enabling the 'smoothing' works and the application of mix to be carried out faster and with greater precision.
Contract value: €5.6m.
