Redevelopment of an intersection in Morocco

In Casablanca, in late 2018, Terre Armée (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) completed the redevelopment of the Azbane intersection, begun in 2016 as part of various roadworks aimed at relieving congestion in the south of the city.

The project involved the construction of roadways, tunnels and their access ramps, sloping engineering structures and a composite bridge. The company was responsible for design, procurement and technical assistance in connection with the creation of retaining walls with imprinted TerraClass™ facing panels and GeoStrap reinforcement strips for two access ramps. The redevelopment of the Azbane intersection forms part of a total reorganisation of access to the city from the south, via the Sidi Maârouf bridge.
