Redevelopment of a symbolic square in Bordeaux

Since September 2018, a joint venture composed of Eurovia Gironde (leader), Moter (Eurovia) and Sud-Ouest Pavage has been totally redeveloping Place Tourny in Bordeaux.

Affected by the arrival of tramline D, this area will be reconfigured in order to share the available space with the soft modes of transport while preserving its historic character. There will also be a major emphasis on providing spaces for pedestrians and shopkeepers.

The teams are carrying out earthworks, sanitation and utility works, as well as laying slabs and paving stones. These latter works are taking place with the square, one of the city’s strategic hubs, remaining open to traffic, and should be completed in September 2019.
