Reception area in Colombia for refugees

Via 40 Express (VINCI Highways/ VINCI Concessions), concessionaire of the Bogotá-Girardot motorway in Colombia, has opened Via Esperanza, a reception area for the thousands of refugees fleeing the economic and political crisis in Venezuela.

Supported by the Red Cross and the International Organization for Migration, this initiative offers migrants a place where they can rest, rehydrate and be given information about their journey. The Via 40 Express social workers also provide safety advice, hygiene kits and/or clothes. Campaigns seeking donations of durable goods are being organised in parallel with this initiative.
