Rebuilding bridges

Eurovia Québec is currently working on the deconstruction and reconstruction of the Île Bigras and Île Verte bridges in the Îles-Laval district, near Montreal.

Lasting three years, the works include the construction of temporary bridges to maintain access for residents, deconstruction of the existing bridges and construction of the new permanent infrastructure. Given the project’s maritime environment, compliance with environmental regulations is monitored weekly, wildlife surveys have been conducted and systems introduced to protect endemic species, and samples are regularly taken from the river to monitor the presence of sediments.Completion of the works is scheduled for autumn 2018.
