Rebuilding a lycée in Martinique

The territorial community of Martinique has awarded the joint venture composed of SIMP, leader, Sogea Martinique (both VINCI Construction International Network subsidiaries), and Bachy Fondaco (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) the reconstruction of the Victor-Schoelcher Lycée in Fort-de- France.

The joint venture is in charge of the special foundations, structural works, steel framework, watertightness, locksmithing and interior joinery, and the installation of lightweight partition walls and aluminium sun-screens. The project concerns five teaching buildings on seismic shock absorbers, which will accommodate 1,100 pupils, a ‘school life’ building with a car park, a gymnasium and a refectory.
The school will open for the start of the 2020-21 academic year.
