RCEA: “Environmental Excellence” label for RCEA project

The Central Europe-Atlantic Road (RCEA), a series of trunk and secondary roads crossing France from east to west, is currently the subject of an upgrading operation being undertaken by a joint venture led by Eurovia’s Chalon-sur-Saône office.

The teams are working on a 5 km-long stretch of the RN70 located between the RD25 and the Paray-le-Monial junction in the Saône-et-Loire department (central France). In addition, an engineering structure is under construction over the RN70 to provide a continuous route for the RD25.

Monitored by an environmental coordinator, this project has just won Eurovia’s “Environmental Excellence” label for the efforts being deployed to limit the impact of the works on the environment and for the great commitment shown by all those involved on these worksites. Completion of the works is scheduled for 2017.
