Purifying the water of an abandoned open-pit mine

Eurovia CS is completing the turnkey construction of a biotechnology system to purify the water at the former Kohinoor open-pit mine in the Ústí nad Labem region of the Czech Republic.

The project includes an aeration building, six decantation lines, a stabilisation tank and a purification tank. The biotechnology method used, which requires virtually no human intervention, is as efficient as active purification techniques.
