PPP in the port of Vannes
21 January 2013 - New contracts - France
On 8 November 2012, the town of Vannes (Brittany) signed a public-private partnership contract with VINCI Construction France in association with Fideppp (Caisse d’Épargne group) for the financing, design and construction of the Kerino underpass. Aimed at relieving congestion at the Kerino lift-bridge, which spans the harbour entrance, this structure will be composed of a 250 m-long tunnel section and links leading to the existing road network. The project also calls for the creation of a 170-space car park, a sediment treatment and recycling plant, and the carrying out of initial dredging works in the port of Vannes. The contract, for a period on 28 years, also includes the operation, upkeep and maintenance of the underpass and the treatment plant.
Handover of the various structures is scheduled for October 2015. Contract value: €76m. The works will be carried out by GTM Ouest (VINCI Construction France), with Eurovia's Lorient office supplying all the external works.
