PPP for a port extension
18 November 2016 - New contracts - France
Ceteau-Céans, a project company composed of VINCI Construction France and VINCI Construction Terrassement, signed a public-private partnership agreement on 18 November 2016 with the Charente-Maritime department for the financing, design & planning, construction and maintenance and renewal works relating to a port extension at the fishing port of La Cotinière, on the island of Oléron.
This project will be implemented by a joint venture comprising GTM Bâtiment Aquitaine and EMCC, both VINCI Construction France subsidiaries, and VINCI Construction Terrassement. It involves lengthening the west wall of the existing harbour, and building the new quayside surface area and its wall (on the eastern side), a third basin equipped with pontoons, and the new fish market. The existing access channel will be deepened to make the port accessible whatever the tide.
The works will start in late 2018. Project value: €51.4m.
