Port works in Nouméa

Balineau, a Soletanche Freyssinet subsidiary (VINCI Construction), as part of a consortium, has won the contract for the construction of berth No. 8, which will extend the large quay in the port of Nouméa (New Caledonia). The company is notably charged with building the quay wall (250 m in length by 56 m), in the form of a combi-wall (a technique involving a combination of sheet piling and caissons).
The works will start in the third quarter of 2012, and take 2 years.
