Partnership with Emmaüs Défi

September 2012 saw the Fondation VINCI pour la Cité working alongside the Emmaüs Défi association for the opening of the biggest integration centre in the Paris region, which recycles and sells unwanted items on at a bric-a-brac outlet in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. In addition to the provision of funding for the purchase of equipment, the Group entered into a wider-ranging partnership: skills-based sponsorship for the electrical works was provided by five VINCI Energies business units (representing 4,000 hours of work), and a programme was set up to help people reaching the end of their integration contract to access the jobs market.
