Opening of Les Terrasses du Port

In Marseille (south of France), the Les Terrasses du Port retail centre (190 shops and restaurants) opened to the public on 24 May 2014. Located in the port neighbourhood next to the MuCEM museum, this development provides a total of 220,000 sq. metres of floor space (the equivalent of 38 rugby pitches), including 61,000 sq. metres of commercial space and a 2,600-space car park. The works were undertaken by a consortium composed of Campenon Bernard Sud-Est, Les Travaux du Midi, Chantiers Modernes Sud and Botte Fondations (all VINCI Construction France subsidiaries) as well as Dodin Campenon Bernard and Soletanche Bachy Pieux (VINCI Construction). Below ground level, the earthworks were supplied by Marenco (VINCI Construction France) in a joint venture with TP Spada (Eurovia) and Inter Travaux, and the drainage network by Marenco and Sogea Sud-Est TP (VINCI Construction France).
Value of the works: €275m (of which €212m for VINCI).
