New solution for the operational management of airports
1 December 2017 - Projects update and handover - France
Since November 2017, Nantes Atlantique Airport has been the first airport in the VINCI Airports network to use SITA’s AMS6 (Airport Management System) solution, an operational management tool that centralises, in real time, all information relating to flights and an airport’s resources.
The deployment of this system means airport resources can be allocated to the airlines’ flight programme in the most efficient way. This major advance in airport management systems greatly improves the automation of the allocation of airport resources (aircraft parking areas, banks, check-in, bus), the automatic continuous integration of flights, the management of people with reduced mobility and the dimensioning of the resources required to operate the airport (e.g.: security checkpoints).
This solution, to be gradually rolled out to all airports managed by VINCI Airports, will enable operations to be unified at network level while guaranteeing an effective response to the individual needs of each airport.
