New section of the A304

In late December 2017, after more than five years of works, the 8 km-long “Le Piquet-Rocroi” section of the A304, in the Ardennes, was opened to traffic in line with the completion deadlines laid down by the client, the regional environment, development and housing authority.

On this project, VINCI Construction Terrassement implemented the general earthworks, engineering structures and restoration of roadways works package as leader of a joint venture notably comprising Dodin Campenon Bernard, GTM Hallé (VINCI Construction subsidiaries) and Eurovia Ludres and Sedan.

This project involved creating a western branch of the A34 (31 km) from south of Charleville-Mézières, making it possible to avoid the congestion in the city centre and facilitating travel to Belgium, notably via the Charleroi-Brussels road. VINCI Construction Terrassement is still engaged in further works here (pavements, finishing works), together with Colas Projects (leader), Eurovia and Urano.
