New quay for sulphur plant
21 January 2013 - New contracts - France
The General Council of Aquitaine has just appointed a consortium composed of EMCC, leader, René Laporte, Delair CFD (all three are VINCI Construction France subsidiaries), Balineau (Soletanche Freyssinet / VINCI Construction), Delaire (VINCI Energies France) and Sobamat to create the Castel quay in the port of Bayonne (south-west France). The works comprise the construction of a quay (180 lm) and a combi-wall (250 lm). These structures will accommodate sulphur tankers servicing Total-subsidiary Sobegi's future sulphur liquefaction plant.
Worth €12.5m, the project will be handed over early in 2014.
