New law courts in Caen

In Normandy, the French Ministry of Justice has awarded VINCI Construction France the public-private partnership contract for the financing, design, construction and operation for 27 years of the new law courts in Caen. Located in the peninsula neighbourhood, this 8,700 sq. metre building will house the higher level court (TGI) and the court of first instance. Once the works have been completed, VINCI Facilities (VINCI Energies) will supply the routine maintenance, repairs and renewals, and the services: fire protection, caretaking, supply of fluids and energy, cleaning, waste management and the upkeep of the open spaces.
Handover of the building is scheduled for 2015. Cost of investment in the project: about €40m.
