New hospital in Libourne

GTM Bâtiment Aquitaine (VINCI Construction France) has secured the design-build contract for the new hospital in Libourne (west of France). This 42,000 sq. metre, 6-storey building will double the capacity of the existing establishment, providing 477 beds and 33 day-hospital places. It was designed in collaboration with architects Chabannes et Partenaires. The works are due to start in May 2015. Once the new building is brought into service, in late 2017, two of the three wings of the current building will be demolished, with certain façades being renovated.
