New detention centre in Mayotte

In Mayotte, SMTPC (VINCI Construction), as part of a consortium, has secured the contract to design and build a new immigration detention centre. This centre will be able to accommodate 148 detainees, as well as providing premises for Mayotte's departmental border police. SBTPC and Sogea Mayotte (VINCI Construction) will also be participating in the works, as will Atexia, Moreschetti, SETM and Tunzini Océan Indien (all VINCI Energies France business units), charged with the climate engineering-plumbing and high- and low-voltage works packages, and, subsequently, the upkeep and maintenance of the centre for 36 months. Undertaken on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior, the works start in May 2013, with handover scheduled for late 2014.
