Adim Ouest (VINCI Construction France) has secured the project to install the hitherto multi-site École de Design Nantes Atlantique at a single location, on the Island of Nantes (west of France).

The works, to be implemented by Sogea Atlantique BTP (VINCI Construction France), comprise the creation of a building for the school (over 11,500 sq. metres), a commercial building (4,600 sq. metres) and a public car park (501 spaces).

This mixed-use complex, with its transparent base and the internal courtyard of the school transformable into an amphitheatre or an exhibition space, will seem like an extension of the public space, open to the surrounding city. The commercial building, intended in particular for the creative and cultural industries, will also include premises for a variety of activities or shops on the ground floor.

The works are due to start in the second half of 2019, with handover of the complex scheduled for 2022.
