GTM Hallé (VINCI Construction France) has just handed over the Muse shopping centre in Metz (north-eastern France), created on behalf of Apsys.

This handover marks a first major milestone in the works on this development project, a mixed-use operation that also includes homes and office space, on a total surface area of some 160,000 sq. metres.

The works for the shopping centre (footprint: 24,500 sq. metres), designed by architects Jean-Paul Viguier et Associés and built on a general contracting basis by GTM Hallé, were completed in 36 months. The retail space (37,000 sq. metres) is occupied by 115 shops and benefits from a 1,235-space, two-level underground car park.

78 firms contributed to the works, including numerous VINCI entities: Weiler (VINCI Construction Terrassement) for the general earthworks, Botte Fondations (VINCI Construction France) for the piles and the diaphragm walls, Cegelec Lorraine Tertiaire (VINCI Energies France) for the HV/LV works packages, Uxello (VINCI Energies) for the fire protection and Sogea Est (VINCI Construction France) for the pipes and organising the fire lanes.
