Modernising the city centre in Cluj-Napoca

The municipal authorities in Cluj-Napoca, the country’s third largest city, have awarded Viarom Construct (Eurovia) the contract to rehabilitate and modernise the streets (2.8 km) in the city centre. The project is being undertaken thanks in part to European funding and aims to improve traffic flow and the access to tourist areas. The works involve refurbishing pavements, earthworks, road surfacing works and the creation of cycle lanes. They will take 14 months.
