Modernising an urban road

In the north-east of Romania, the municipal authorities in Iaşi have awarded a consortium formed by Viarom (Eurovia), Mari Vila, Coneste and Vectra a project to rehabilitate and upgrade the town’s main traffic artery. The works involve creating a double tram track more than 4 km in length, repairing the roadway and the pavements, and installing over 4 km of green lanes (cycle lanes).
The works began in June 2013 and will be completed in late 2014. Project value: about €12.5m (of which €3.5m for Viarom).
