26 November 2012 - New contracts - Poland

On the site of the Olawa plant in south-west Poland, VINCI Environnement and Warbud (both VINCI Construction subsidiaries) have just been appointed by ZGO, the public body responsible for the treatment of waste in the region (population 205,000), to supply a household waste methanisation unit and a trigeneration unit. The project involves the design and implementation of the methanisation and dehydration processes, and supplying the unit to prepare the waste to be methanised, and the biogas treatment and recovery unit, as well as all the site’s networks. Post-modernisation, the centre will treat 80,000 t of household waste a year, and produce biogas that can be triply used to provide electricity, heat and cooling. The works start in January 2013 and will take 16 months.
Entry into service is scheduled for the third quarter of 2014. Contract value: €11m.
